Terms of Service

VERSION 0.1-DRAFT

⚠️ DRAFT — NOT LEGAL ADVICE. This is a first-pass draft meant to give you a real starting point, tailored to this product's actual features. It is not a substitute for review by a licensed attorney, and should not be relied on as final or legally binding until that review happens — especially the sections on call/message recording consent, which touch real state-by-state legal requirements.

Placeholder: "[Company Name]" and "the Platform" should be replaced with your finalized legal entity name and product name once decided.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using [Company Name]'s mobile application, website, or related services (collectively, "the Platform"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. By registering, you represent that all information you provide is accurate and that you will keep it up to date.

3. Accounts & Sign-Up Required to Participate

An account is required to use any part of the Platform, including joining calls, chats, or communities. There are no anonymous or guest participants. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account.

4. Description of Service

The Platform provides tools for professional networking and relationship management, including but not limited to: digital business cards, contact and relationship tracking, a activity feed, direct and group messaging, voice and video calling, communities, and AI-generated notes and summaries from calls and conversations.

5. Public and Private Profiles

You may choose to make your profile public (discoverable and viewable by other users and, where applicable, the public) or private (visible only to your connections). Conversations, calls, and private communities remain private regardless of your profile setting, except as described in Section 7 (AI-Generated Notes).

6. User Content & Conduct

You retain ownership of content you post, upload, or share on the Platform ("User Content"), including posts, comments, notes, and your resume if uploaded. By posting User Content, you grant [Company Name] a limited license to host, display, and transmit it as necessary to operate the Platform.

8. Communities

Communities may be public (open to join, hosted only by Verified Hosts) or private (invite-only). Hosts and Admins have elevated permissions to post and moderate content within their communities and are responsible for content posted under their community's name, subject to the Platform's overall content policies.

9. Verification

The Platform offers tiered verification. Basic verification (email/phone) is required for standard use. Enhanced identity verification ("Verified Host" status) is required to host public communities and is provided through a third-party verification service. [Company Name] does not guarantee the accuracy of any user's verification status beyond what the verification provider confirms.

10. Physical Card Orders & Payments

Physical business cards ordered through the Platform are fulfilled by a third-party print-on-demand partner. Orders are subject to that partner's production and shipping timelines. All sales are final except as required by applicable consumer protection law, or as otherwise stated at checkout.

11. Badges

Badges reflect platform activity as defined by [Company Name] and do not constitute an endorsement, certification, or guarantee of any kind about the user's business, professional standing, or conduct.

12. Intellectual Property

The Platform, including its design, features, and branding, is the property of [Company Name] and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or create derivative works based on the Platform without permission.

13. Termination
